Dr. Nisful Laila, SE., M.Com. (Vice Dean 2 of FEB UNAIR) moderated a webinar event in collaboration with 27 universities from ASEAN countries, with the topic “Strengthening the Internationalization of Southeast Asian Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the 4.0 Era” with a team from FEB UNAIR, namely Prof. Dr. Raditya Sukmana, SE., MA., Dr. Achsania Hendratmi, SE.,M.Si., Shochrul Rohmatul Ajija, SE., M.Ec.
This international webinar discussed how to strengthen the internationalization of Southeast Asian micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the 4.0 era, where the coronavirus disease 4.0 (COVID-19) pandemic has triggered an unprecedented global crisis and significantly impacted the Southeast Asian economy. MSMEs in Southeast Asia, like those around the world, have been severely impacted by the pandemic. Unlike large companies, MSMEs are often challenged by financial constraints. Consequently, this is a challenging time for many MSMEs in ASEAN and around the world.
"Serving as a moderator for a webinar, a collaboration between 27 universities from ASEAN countries, was a joy, even though the preparations were quite lengthy and detailed, as it was conducted online with a multi-country committee. Every night, we met to ensure VIPs would attend, ensure the technology was secure, formulate an implementation plan, and even conduct a survey of the 400 or so participants from various countries," said Nisful.
