

(FEB NEWS) The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR), received a visit from representatives of Bank Jakarta, East Java Branch, to explore strategic collaboration focused on developing student and alumni competencies. The meeting was warm and productive, discussing various collaboration opportunities between academia and the banking industry.
Delegates from Bank Jakarta who attended the occasion included Narita Meidiana (Tata) as the Head of PT. Bank DKI Rungkut Branch Office, Koko Hermawan as Relationship Officer of Bank Jakarta, along with the team. Meanwhile, from FEB UNAIR, there were Vice Dean I of FEB UNAIR – Prof. Dr. Tika Widiastuti, SE, M.Si., Staff of Vice Dean I – Ida Wijayanti, S.EI., MSEI., and Head of Entrepreneurship, Internship and Industrial Relations Unit – Dr. Dien Mardhiyah, SE, M.Si.
During the discussion, both parties discussed several potential collaborations that could positively impact FEB UNAIR students and alumni. The main focus of the exploration included a student internship program at Bank Jakarta, recruitment opportunities for FEB UNAIR graduates, guest lectures featuring banking industry practitioners, and support for the development of student and alumni MSMEs.
Vice Dean I of FEB UNAIR, Prof. Dr. Tika Widiastuti, stated that synergy between universities and industry is a crucial step in preparing graduates who are adaptable and competitive in the workforce. Through this collaboration, FEB UNAIR hopes students can gain practical experience and broaden their knowledge of the financial and banking industry directly.
Meanwhile, Bank Jakarta also welcomed the opportunity to collaborate with FEB UNAIR, one of Indonesia's leading educational institutions. This collaboration is expected to bridge the gap in developing young talent ready to face industry challenges while also supporting the development of student and alumni entrepreneurship.
