COVER VISITATION FOR FEB UNAIR 2024 STUDENTSSurabaya, October 27, 2024 – The Student Organization Capacity Building Program (PPK ORMAWA) “Kandangan Gelora” initiated by BEM FEB UNAIR successfully underwent a visitation for the 2024 Abdidaya assessment on Sunday, October 27, 2024. The event began with an opening at Universitas Airlangga Campus C, followed by a clarification session from representatives of the Kandangan Gelora implementation team, the Head of BEM FEB UNAIR, and the supervising lecturer. The Kandangan Gelora team also had the opportunity to showcase their superior product Kopi Gelora, a typical product of Kandangan Village. After the opening session, a review team consisting of representatives from the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs (Belmawa) of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemdikbudristek) departed with the implementation team to Kandangan Village, Lumajang Regency, the main location of the community service activities.

The activities at the village hall began with an opening and continued with a question and answer session and interviews between the review team, village administrators, and BUMDes administrators. Village residents and the Kandangan Gelora team received valuable input regarding the sustainability of the program. The reviewers also visited the Selogending historical site, a Kandangan Village landmark, and the BUMDes, where they witnessed firsthand the coffee bean processing process. The reviewers also sampled various products from the program, including Yo-Goat, a goat milk yogurt with a variety of flavors. This program provides an opportunity for students to hone their soft skills, such as new skills, public speaking, and problem-solving. It is hoped that this program will be sustainable and support the PPK ORMAWA goal of achieving village economic independence, in line with the SDGs, specifically Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) and Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production).
