UNAIR PHMP Roadshow Present at FEB UNAIR, Strengthening Public Relations and Protocol Synergy

(FEB NEWS) The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR) hosted a roadshow to socialize the Center for Public Relations and Protocol (PHMP) Universitas Airlangga on Thursday (30/4/2026) at the Tirtodiningrat Hall. This activity was attended by the Vice Dean I of FEB UNAIR – Prof. Dr. Tika Widiastuti, SE., M.Si., the management team within FEB UNAIR. The presence of the participants demonstrated the faculty’s commitment to strengthening public relations governance, publications, and protocol services that are integrated with university policies. In their presentation, Universitas Airlangga PHMP team explained the strategic role of PHMP as a unit responsible for the production, dissemination, and publication of information related to the Tri Dharma of Higher Education activities and institutional achievements. In addition, PHMP also has functions in managing protocols, media relations, websites, social media, and audio-visual services to support university branding. This socialization also outlined in detail the service mechanisms that can be utilized by faculties, including the procedures for requesting protocol assistance for official activities, the flow of requests for media coverage, and the procedures for publishing content on the university's official channels. Faculties are expected to follow the established procedures, such as submitting application letters via e-office and fulfilling the completeness of activity information. In addition, the importance of strengthening public information management through the Information and Documentation Management Officer (PPID) was also conveyed, including the preparation of the Public Information List (DIP) and the Excluded Information List (DIK), as well as participation in the PPID Awards as a form of evaluation of information transparency at the faculty level. In the publication aspect, PHMP also emphasized the importance of faculty contributions in providing news content, lecturer opinions in the mass media, and distributing press releases to media partners. This is part of the university's performance indicators that also support the improvement of the institution's reputation nationally and internationally. Through this activity, it is hoped that the entire FEB UNAIR academic community will better understand the role and work mechanisms of PHMP, and be able to optimize available services to support improving the quality of public communication, information transparency, and strengthening the institution's image.
