SOCIALIZATION OF COMPETITION CONSULTANT

The WEBS Competition Consultant (CC) is a program organized by the Business and Education Workshop Division of the Entrepreneur and Business Society (WEBS) Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga , as a platform to facilitate and develop members' achievements in academic and non-academic competitions. This program is designed to assist WEBS members in preparing, implementing, and increasing their chances of success in various competitions through a targeted mentoring and assistance system.

In 2026, the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Universitas Airlangga began implementing achievement targets for each organization. In this regard, WEBS was given a target of 35 semifinalists as an indicator of the success of its Competition Consultant work program. Therefore, this activity is a strategic initial step to build awareness, readiness, and active participation of all members in a culture of competition and achievement.

As an introduction to the new systems and mechanisms for this period, the WEBS Competition Consultant began with an online outreach event conducted via Zoom Meeting. This outreach aimed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the performance targets WEBS must achieve, the importance of all members' contributions to supporting those goals, and the performance tracking system that will be implemented periodically throughout the management period.

In addition to an explanation of the program's mechanics, the event also featured a sharing session with experienced speakers in the competition field, specifically in the Business Plan Competition and Business Case Competition categories. Through this session, participants were expected to gain insight into competition strategies, business idea development and analysis techniques, and practical experience in participating in national and international competitions. The event then continued with an interactive question and answer session to provide participants with a deeper understanding of the implementation process and sustainability of the Competition Consultant program.

The implementation of the Consultant Competition is also in line with the objectives of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically point 4 on Quality Education through the development of student capacity and competency beyond formal learning. Furthermore, this activity supports point 8 on Decent Work and Economic Growth because it forms students who are competitive, innovative, and ready to face the challenges of the professional world. The collaboration between mentors, speakers, and WEBS members in this program also reflects the implementation of point 17 on Partnerships to Achieve the Goals.

Overall, the WEBS Competition Consultant is expected to create a supportive and competitive environment for WEBS members to develop their potential and achieve success. Through this program, WEBS is committed to building a sustainable culture of achievement while improving the quality of adaptive, creative, and highly competitive human resources.
