WEBS Vaganza is an annual program organized by Universitas Airlangga as a forum for developing entrepreneurial spirit, creativity, and managerial skills through a series of activities that integrate business, education, and entertainment aspects in one event.
The implementation of WEBS Vaganza 2025 is planned for September 27-28, 2025, at Galaxy Mall Surabaya, with the main objective of providing a space for students to apply academic competencies into real-world practices that have a direct impact on strengthening character, developing networks, and increasing entrepreneurial capacity.
This activity consists of three main sub-events. First, WE Market, which provides a platform for students and MSMEs to introduce and market their products to the wider community. Through a professional tenant curation process and bazaar management, WE Market is expected to improve business literacy and provide trading experiences in a competitive environment. Second, WEFD (WEBS Festival Day), a sub-event that focuses on organizing public entertainment such as music concerts, community performances, karaoke parties, and creative training. WEFD is an element that strengthens public appeal and a space for artistic expression for the younger generation. Third, Webizspeak, an educational forum featuring professional speakers and industry practitioners from various fields, aims to provide practical insights, career inspiration, and enhance students' personal and professional capacities.
In its implementation, WEBS Vaganza also supports the achievement of several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through affordable and inclusive access to participation, this event contributes to SDG 1 (No Poverty) by providing economic opportunities for students and MSMEs. In addition, through seminar sessions and practical training, this event also supports SDG 4 (Quality Education). SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) is realized through encouraging the growth of the creative economy and the creation of temporary jobs and business opportunities. Equally important, collaboration with companies, communities, and government institutions reflects a commitment to SDG 17 (Partnership for the Goals).
Overall, WEBS Vaganza is expected to become a strategic platform that not only impacts the individual development of students but also positively contributes to Universitas Airlangga as a higher education institution that actively supports collaboration, innovation, and sustainable development.
