Public speaking is a must-have soft skill for today's millennial generation, especially for students who are active in organizations and will eventually need it for employment. A high GPA isn't just essential; strong speaking skills are also essential. Public speaking is often feared by those who lack confidence and feel they lack the necessary skills. This lack of confidence is influenced by a lack of mastery of the material being presented, appearance and skills, and other factors. As a result, the perception arises that to be a public speaker, one must possess fundamental skills, or soft skills.
Islamic Public Speaking is a seminar activity that can provide knowledge on how to convey knowledge well, where the main thing taught is how to open or close well using Arabic and English, as well as being proficient in starting public speaking with prayers.
This Islamic Public Speaking (IPS) activity will be held for the first time on Saturday, May 1, 2021 with the speaker being Brother Firman Islami
ACTIVITY OBJECTIVES
- Improve students' abilities and interest in Islamic public speaking
- Increase student interest in the application of Islamic public speaking in every activity
- Improve students' ability to become leaders (team leaders) in expressing opinions or making decisions.
- ACTIVITY TARGET
The target participants of this activity are Muslim students of FEB UNAIR and Muslim students Universitas Airlangga.
