Art Sense: Spreading Islam through Graphics and Visuals

Islamic propagation today cannot only be carried out through studies held in mosques
or other places. Keeping up with the times, Islamic propagation must be carried out by
utilizing existing technological advances. Creative content with
good visualizations can attract the public. Therefore, there needs to be an integration between Islamic propagation
and advanced technology.
MOSAIC FEB UNAIR as one of the campus da'wah institutions under
the Faculty of Economics and Business must certainly keep up with the times in
Islamic propagation strategies. MOSAIC has carried out the "Art Sense" activity, namely design training for
MOSAIC administrators. The activity was held on Friday, October 25, 2019.
The activity was attended not only by MOSAIC administrators but also
other students of the Faculty of Economics and Business. The Art Sense activity was filled by Ahmad Suhail
Alhazimi, Multimedia Design Coordinator of the MDPR Bureau of MOSAIC FEB UNAIR 2017.
The activity went smoothly and received good enthusiasm from the participants.
Participants were taught the basics of design with an explanation of the advantages and disadvantages of several
design applications and how to operate them. While the explanation was being given, participants directly practiced
creating a design. The hope is that after this activity, administrators will become
more creative in utilizing existing technology. This will ensure Islamic propagation is not bland
and can attract the public to learn more about Islam.
