GIBEI NEWS – On Friday, October 8, 2021, the Capital Market School (KSPM) held its regular six-monthly event. This year's Capital Market School (SPM) was held via Zoom, with MC Alfiani Alania and two speakers: Dyan Fajar Mahardika from the East Java IDX and Peni Rahmadani from IPOT Securities. The Capital Market School began at approximately 8:00 a.m. WIB and lasted approximately 150 minutes. This year's SPM had the theme "Invest Now for a Better Future." This theme was chosen to reflect the current situation in Indonesia, especially for students who are still unfamiliar with the world of capital markets or investment. The SPM aims to provide access to beginners interested in capital markets and investment and eager to dive right into them.
The first session was led by Dyan Fajar Mahardika, an executive trainer for the Indonesia Stock Exchange. He presented an introduction to the capital market in Indonesia. In his presentation, he explained the origins of the Indonesian capital market, then explained why investing is important and the benefits it offers. This material is crucial for participants in the Capital Market School webinar, who are new to the world of capital markets.
Before moving on to the second topic, presented by Mr. Peni, a Q&A session was held for participants with questions, followed by a quiz game via the Kahoot website. This was done to ensure the webinar wasn't one-way but interactive for participants. The game included questions related to the material, allowing participants to review what had been presented. Prizes were also awarded to participants with the most correct answers.
The second presentation was delivered by Mr. Peni Rahmadani, an investment specialist at IPOT Securities. In his presentation, Mr. Peni explained fundamental stock analysis and how to invest through the IPOT app. This session aimed to ensure that participants not only learned about investing theoretically but also gained hands-on experience.
What's interesting about this Capital Markets School is that the participants included not only students but also private sector employees, demonstrating the increasing reach of the Capital Markets School participants. It is hoped that through this Capital Markets School, KSPM FEB Unair can contribute directly to the community.
