Abstract
The use of Information Technology and users are interconnected because user satisfaction in using Information Technology is one of the benchmarks in assessing the success of Information Technology utilization. This is a benchmark because with user satisfaction with Information Technology, users will use it more frequently. By creating user satisfaction with the use of Information Technology, it is expected to smoother operational activities in supermarkets and also automatically facilitate the continuity of the company's business.
This study aims to determine user satisfaction with the use of Information Technology in operational activities at COCO Supermarket. To achieve this goal, observations and in-depth interviews were conducted with users based on user levels, namely operational level, supervisor level, manager level and top manager level, and to evaluate the satisfaction felt by users with the use of information technology used.
The analysis results show that the users consisting of cashiers, head cashiers and purchase department managers, managers and top managers feel satisfied in the following areas: operation, timeliness, conformity to needs, documentation, security systems, budgeting or funds, increased comfort, building good relationships with the IS unit, involvement in system management, knowledge of the business by the IS unit and professionalism by the IS unit. However, there are several things that are less satisfied by the users, namely the accuracy and completeness of information and access. So it can be said that overall the users feel satisfied with the use of existing information technology, although there are still things that are less satisfied. However, this less satisfied does not affect the overall user satisfaction with the use of information technology because the users realize that the inaccuracy and incompleteness of the information that occurs are not caused by system errors, but solely due to human error.
Therefore, to minimize human error, increased oversight of EDP personnel, especially those responsible for data entry, is necessary to prevent errors. This will, in turn, lead to greater user satisfaction with the use of existing information technology.
