Abstract

Transportation alternatives in this era have significantly changed consumer lifestyles. The need for agile modes of transportation combined with relatively affordable service offerings has made Gojek a highly sought-after start-up. The company quickly became one of the largest online motorcycle taxi (ojek) service providers in Indonesia. However, in practice, Gojek drivers have raised numerous issues. Issues with wages and company procedures often infuriate Gojek drivers. This dissatisfaction, in turn, plays a significant role in influencing individual satisfaction perceptions. This study aims to determine the effect of distributive justice and procedural justice on job satisfaction through perceived organizational support for Gojek drivers. This study used a quantitative approach, with data collection using a questionnaire. Data analysis used partial least squares (PLS) and SmartPLS software. Contrary to common practices, the results indicate that distributive justice and procedural justice have a positive and significant influence on job satisfaction. Then perceived organizational support was entered as a mediator which also showed a positive and significant influence on the relationship between distributive justice and procedural justice on job satisfaction.
