(HIMA PDIA NEWS) AIRLANGGA ACCOUNTING ACADEMIC BOOTCAMP 2025 was officially held on November 14–15, 2025 at the Rayz Hotel UMM Malang and was attended by 35 participants from various classes of the Doctoral Program in Accounting, Universitas Airlangga. This activity was organized by HIMA PDIA as a forum for strengthening the research competencies of doctoral students, while also presenting an interactive, dynamic, and enthusiastic learning atmosphere with the aim of strengthening research capacity based on academic standards that are relevant to global needs.
The bootcamp was facilitated by three experienced academics and researchers: Dr. Saarce Elyse Hatane, Dr. Arumega Zarefar, and Dr. Ranto Partomuan Sihombing. They presented on research development strategies, formulating appropriate methodologies, and strengthening internationally recognized scientific publications. Participants received in-depth mentoring and the opportunity to engage in direct discussions with experts.
This activity provides a collaborative scientific space for researchers to broaden their academic perspectives, hone their analytical skills, and broaden their understanding of global research trends. Through discussion sessions and mentoring, participants are guided to produce research that is applicable, provides solutions, and contributes to both academia and evidence-based policymaking.
The implementation of this bootcamp aligns with the university's commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) by improving the quality of research and learning, and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) by encouraging innovative research that can have social and economic impacts. This activity is also relevant to SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through cross-generational and cross-disciplinary academic collaboration.
With the Airlangga Accounting Academic Bootcamp 2025, it is hoped that participants will be able to produce international-standard research, strengthen Universitas Airlanggaacademic contributions, and generate innovative ideas that will impact scientific advancement, public policy, and increase the nation's global competitiveness. This activity is a crucial investment in building future research excellence.
