Surabaya, Monday, September 8, 2025 – A total of 60 students from SMA Progresif Bumi Sholawat conducted a study tour visit to the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR) on Monday, September 8, 2025. Held in the Soepoyo Hall, 2nd floor of FEB UNAIR, this activity took place full of enthusiasm, both from the students and the organizers. This visit was part of a higher education introduction program that aims to provide academic insight as well as motivation to continue studies in economics and business.
The event began with remarks from the President of BEM FEB UNAIR, Renandra Aryasakti, who conveyed encouragement and support to the students to continue striving to achieve their dreams. In his message, he expressed his hope to meet the students again as FEB UNAIR students. The next remarks were given by the representative of SMA Progresif Bumi Sholawat, Ms. Syamrotul Isnaini, S.Psi., who expressed her appreciation for the warm welcome from FEB UNAIR. She hoped that the knowledge and information gained during this visit would be valuable provisions for the students in planning their future.
The series of activities then continued with a presentation of the faculty profile by Mr. Muhammad Syaikh Rohman, SE., M.Ec., a staff member of the Vice Dean I of FEB UNAIR. He outlined the history, vision, mission, and achievements of FEB UNAIR as one of the leading faculties in Indonesia. The presentation was interactive, with a question-and-answer session that gave students the opportunity to explore information about study opportunities and personal development on campus.
The students also received a more in-depth introduction to the study programs at FEB UNAIR. Ms. Dian Filianti, SE., M.Acc., as Secretary of the Islamic Economics Undergraduate Study Program, explained the program's profile and advantages, including career prospects for its graduates. The next session was delivered by Ms. Alfiyatul Qomariyah, S.Ak., MBA., Ph.D., Head of the Accounting Undergraduate Study Program, who outlined study concentrations, international accreditation, and opportunities for students to participate in student exchange programs and international competitions.
Through this series of activities, students gained a comprehensive understanding of the world of college, particularly in the fields of economics and business. They were introduced to the importance of mastering academic skills, soft skills, and building professional networks from an early age. The students' enthusiasm was evident in their active participation in discussions, noting key points, and asking questions. This demonstrates that the Welcome Visit not only broadens academic knowledge but also fosters learning motivation and mental readiness for higher education.
At the conclusion of the event, the students left Soepoyo Hall with renewed enthusiasm. They brought with them not only valuable experience but also strong motivation to achieve their dreams.
