Strategic Direction of FEB UNAIR Leadership

In his directive, the Dean of FEB UNAIR, Prof. Dr. Rudi Purwono, emphasized that all student organization activities must be aligned and integrated with the faculty and university's strategies. Students are positioned as part of a unified ecosystem, including the dean's office, departments, study programs, and supporting units, rather than independent entities.

"FEB UNAIR is facing increasingly fierce global competition. Therefore, every student program must be designed, measurable, and have a real impact, not just ceremonial," he emphasized. The Dean also emphasized the importance of strengthening students' soft skills, leadership, character, and managerial capacity to equip graduates with competitiveness in the workplace and public spaces, including through the implementation of high-quality and substantial MBKM (Community Based Learning) and internships.

Meanwhile, Vice Dean I of FEB UNAIR Prof. Dr. Tika Widiastuti, SE, M.Si. emphasized that Ormawa Camp 2026 is a space for Ormawa to grow and develop together. The Dean's Office plays a role in providing direction, support, and facilitation so that all Ormawa are able to move solidly, synergize, and build bonds and engagement across Ormawa and across levels.

"2026 will be a more challenging year. Student organizations are expected to develop work programs that are not only conceptually sound but also have a significant impact on the nearly 6,000 active students at FEB UNAIR," he said. He also emphasized the four strategic roles of student organizations: strengthening human resources, contributing to institutional achievements, providing social benefits through community service, and developing student character.

Discussion, Collaboration, and Capacity Building

In the afternoon session, Ormawa Camp 2026 presented the Head of PUSPAS UNAIR Dr. Wisudanto, SE, MM, CFP., ASPM. and his team, which was then followed by a Forum Group Discussion (FGD). Participants were divided into several strategic groups, including Entrepreneurship, Career and Alumni, Undergraduate Community Service, Science, Competition and Publication, as well as Masters and Doctoral groups, to formulate collaborative and sustainable work program strategies.

The evening session featured teamwork games to strengthen solidarity and cohesiveness among student organization administrators. The event concluded with an outbound activity the following morning, designed to cultivate leadership, communication, and teamwork.

Through Ormawa Camp 2026, FEB UNAIR encourages Ormawa to develop strategic, adaptive, and impactful work programs, including strengthening the student achievement ecosystem, developing entrepreneurship, optimizing internships and industry relations, and strengthening community engagement. This entire series of activities is designed to serve as the foundation for implementing Ormawa work programs throughout 2026.

More than just an organizational development agenda, Ormawa Camp 2026 is a concrete manifestation of FEB UNAIR's commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) by strengthening student leadership capacity and competency, as well as SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) through transparent, collaborative, and sustainable student organization development. The synergy across Ormawa and units also strengthens contributions to SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).

Going forward, FEB UNAIR hopes that Ormawa will be agents of change, not only active organizationally but also relevant and impactful for students, the community, and the institution. Ormawa Camp 2026 is the first step to ensure that all FEB UNAIR student programs are aligned with the vision of excellence, impact, and global competitiveness.
