(FEB NEWS) CISFI FEB UNAIR held a Research Dissemination Collaboration in collaboration with Sakarya University on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 2:00 PM WIB / 10:00 AM TRT via Zoom Meeting. This forum serves as a platform for disseminating student research published in reputable journals while strengthening international academic networks in the field of Islamic Social Finance (ISF).
The event featured Sharia Economics students from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Airlangga University (FEB UNAIR), who have published in Scopus, as keynote speakers, along with academic panelists from Sakarya University. The forum drew 64 active participants from various countries, including Indonesia, Turkey, Malaysia, Nigeria, and several others, reflecting the multidisciplinary and multinational nature of the discussions.
In the main session, students presented internationally published research, particularly in the fields of waqf and Islamic Social Finance. The presentations were then reviewed by an academic panel from Sakarya University, who provided comparative perspectives, methodological enhancements, and input for further research development.
In addition to serving as a dissemination forum, this event also opened up strategic discussions regarding opportunities for joint research, co-publication, and the development of cross-border academic collaboration. The exchange of methodological approaches and research experiences between institutions enriched scientific discourse, ensuring that the development of Islamic Social Finance is not confined to local areas but contributes to global discourse.
This activity is part of an effort to internationalize student research and strengthen FEB UNAIR's position within the global Islamic Social Finance scholarship network. Through this collaboration, students gain not only publication space but also academic experience in a competitive and collaborative international forum.
Strategically, this activity supports SDG 4 (Quality Education) by improving the quality of research-based learning and international collaboration. Furthermore, the strategic partnership with Sakarya University reflects the implementation of SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) in building a global network to develop science and sustainable economic solutions.
