(FEB NEWS) The Creative Economy Department (Ekraf) of BEM FEB UNAIR successfully held FEBpreneur: ScaleUp Talk 2026 on Friday (19/6/2026) at the 3rd Floor of Soepoyo Hall with the theme "Synergy of Economic Strategy and Business Innovation in Encouraging the Expansion of Indonesian MSMEs."
The event featured the Chairman of the Surabaya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), HM Ali Affandi, SM, M.MT., who emphasized the importance of strengthening MSMEs as the backbone of the national economy, employing 97% of the workforce and contributing 60% to Indonesia's GDP. Through interactive sessions, participants were encouraged to understand the challenges facing MSMEs and strengthen them, including branding, the creative economy, collaboration, and regulatory adaptation.
More than just a discussion forum, this activity also supports the achievement of SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, by encouraging students to become the driving force of an innovative and competitive MSME ecosystem.
Through ScaleUp Talk 2026, it is hoped that a younger generation will emerge who are ready to encourage Indonesian MSMEs to move up a class, transform, and become globally competitive.
