FEB UNAIR RECEIVES BENCHMARKING FACULTY OF ECONOMICS, SRIWIJAYA UNIVERSITY

(FEB NEWS) The Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR) received a benchmarking visit from the Faculty of Economics, Sriwijaya University, on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at the Tirtodiningrat Hall, 2nd Floor of FEB UNAIR. This activity served as a strategic forum to share best practices in academic management, curriculum, quality assurance, and the development of undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs in Economics.

The visit was attended by the leadership and lecturers of the Faculty of Economics, Sriwijaya University, and was welcomed directly by the leaders and managers of study programs at FEB UNAIR.

The atmosphere in Tirtodiningrat Hall that morning was warm and productive. The discussion was dynamic with a collaborative spirit, reflecting the commitment of both institutions to improve the quality of higher education in the field of Economics. Present to welcome the group of guests were the Dean of FEB UNAIR – Prof. Dr. Rudi Purwono, Vice Dean I of FEB UNAIR – Prof. Dr. Tika Widiastuti, SE, M.Si., Coordinator of the Doctoral Program in Economics – Prof. Dr. Deni Kusumawardani, SE, M.Si., Coordinator of the Master’s Program in Economics – Dr. Ni Made Sukartini, SE, M.Si., MIDEC., Secretary of the Undergraduate Program in Economics – Gigih Prihantono, SE, M.SE., and Head of the Education Sub-Division – Sri Suryaning Asih, S.Sos., M.PSDM.

Meanwhile, the delegation from the Faculty of Economics, Sriwijaya University was led by Prof. Dr. Bernadette Robiani, SE, M.Sc. as the Vice Chancellor for Finance, Resources, Procurement, and Logistics of Sriwijaya University, accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Sriwijaya University, Prof. Dr. Azwardi, SE, M.Si., Deputy Dean III Dr. Mukhlis, SE, M.Si., as well as the management of study programs and lecturers from the Undergraduate, Masters, and Doctoral Programs of Economics.

The benchmarking session featured a sharing of experiences in managing the undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs in Economics at FEB UNAIR, as well as an interactive discussion on various aspects of academic management and quality assurance. The lively question-and-answer session reflected the participants' enthusiasm for exploring best practices that could be adapted to the Faculty of Economics at Sriwijaya University.

Through this benchmarking activity, FEB UNAIR and the Faculty of Economics, Sriwijaya University, affirmed their shared commitment to continuously improve the quality of higher education and strengthen academic networks between universities.

In the future, similar collaborations are expected to continue in the form of academic cooperation, research, and sustainable educational program development.
