Having graphic design and public speaking skills is a very special trait, adding value to a person's life. Graphic design skills, in addition to enhancing creativity, can simplify career advancement and increase business opportunities in today's world. Public speaking skills are no less valuable. World-class success stories demonstrate that public speaking is a significant skill. Public speaking skills are also considered to help advance one's career. It's clear that those who achieve high positions in agencies or companies are those with excellent public speaking skills.
To support these capabilities, AcSES FEB Unair held two training workshops in different months. Both activities were held on Fridays (Graphic Design Workshop on March 23, 2018 and Public Speaking Workshop on September 28, 2018). Interestingly, AcSES, as the organizer of these activities, did not charge participants any fees. Both training workshops were attended by FEB Universitas Airlangga students and some external students.
Although held in different months, both training workshops have the same concept, with two sessions, starting with a theory session followed by a hands-on practice session by the participants in order to provide optimal benefits to the participants who attended.
The graphic design workshop held in the Mindrowo Hall of the FEB Building, Universitas Airlangga, carried the theme "Make your Own Fabulous CV" with the speaker Rifqi Muhammad, a Development Economics student from the class of 2015, a graphic designer who is quite expert and has more experience in this field.
Meanwhile, the Public Speaking Workshop was held in the Fadjar Notonegoro Hall, FEB Building, Universitas Airlangga, with the theme "Becoming a Cool and Influential Presenter" and presented speaker Muhammad Reza Affandi, an Unair medical student who became the Outstanding Student in 2018.
By holding this training workshop, AcSES hopes that in addition to excelling academically, students, especially those from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga can improve their quality in non-academic fields.
