Every year, Universitas Airlangga holds a prestigious competition for the Outstanding Student (Mawapres) title, recognizing students who have achieved success in various fields, including academic, non-academic, and scientific endeavors. The Mawapres selection takes place at the department, faculty, and university levels to identify prospective Mawapres candidates who will represent Universitas Airlangga at the national and international levels.
In realizing the improvement of the quality of students' intellectual output, the Faculty of Economics and Business is determined to send out high-quality Mawapres candidates. To realize this, efforts are needed to foster a climate of achievement among students through several means, including through socialization and training. Therefore, the Scientific Department of the Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga 2017 strives to increase understanding of the Outstanding Student Program (MAWAPRES) by instilling an achievement mindset, providing training and motivation to students of the Faculty of Economics and Business in the School of Mawapres activities.
School of Mawapres is a forum for students of the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga. With the existence of this School of Mawapres, it is hoped that the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga can produce students who excel and are able to bring a good name Universitas Airlangga. The School of Mawapres is held for two days. The School of Mawapres contains many materials that are expected to be useful for FEB students who will prepare themselves to advance to become mawapres. The materials in the School of Mawapres are KTI, Public Speaking, personality, community service, motivation to convince students to join mawapres and will be continued with the formation of a discussion forum towards mawapres.
The event was held on Saturday-Sunday, May 6-7 2017 in the ABC Hall, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga.
The purpose of holding this activity for students is to provide information and knowledge needed for students of the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga related to the MAWAPRES competition, provide motivation to students of the Faculty of Economics and BusinessUniversitas Airlangga to excel and contribute in academic, non-academic fields as well as soft skill development and provide training supplies for students who want to participate in the 2017 Outstanding Student Selection at the Faculty level.
