The Indonesian Management Forum (FMI) is a forum that accommodates academics and institutions in management science initiated by the Department of Management, FEB, Universitas Airlangga and supported by State and Private Universities in Indonesia, such as Padjajaran University and Bina Nusantara. Founded on November 10, 2008 at the Tunjungan Hotel in Surabaya, FMI currently has almost 1,000 individual members from Sabang to Merauke.
In its 8th anniversary, FMI again held a Seminar and Conference, this time held at the Mercure Hotel in Palu. The event, organized by the committee from the Faculty of Economics, Tadulako University from November 10-12, was lively. Present as speakers and presenters were the Rector of Tadulako University, special staff of the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education, BI practitioners, and hundreds of management academics.
What was encouraging at the event, the Department of Management received several awards, namely Best Paper 1 by Mr. I Made Sudana, MSi and an award as the best delegation to the Department of Management, Universitas Airlangga. Another proud moment is the re-election of Mr. Sri Gunawan, DBA as the General Chairperson of the FMI Center for the 2016-2021 period.

For the Department of Management, FMI is not only a means of communication and friendship between Management study programs at State/Private Universities but also a place to build national achievements for the Department of Management Universitas Airlangga.
