(FEB NEWS) Thursday, July 27, 2023, the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UNAIR's Undergraduate Management Department once again collaborated with the Undergraduate Management Student Association (HIMA) to conduct community service activities as part of the Management Cares program. The activity took place at Graha Sena, Jalan Tempel Sukorejo Gang 1, Sukorejo District, Surabaya. Together, we presented a series of activities aimed at providing valuable insights and skills for MSMEs.
This activity began with remarks by Mrs. Jum as the social welfare officer of Tegalsari, Dr. Tri Siwi Agustina, SE., M.Si. – Head of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Industrial Relations (PKRI) FEB UNAIR and remarks from the village head.
Next, we continued with the main activity, namely the presentation of material from our expert speakers, Dr. Puput Tri Komalasari, Tutus Widagdo, and Dr. Rahmat Yuliawan, who have provided valuable material in the sessions of this activity:
Session 1: Financial Management and Pricing
Dr. Puput Tri Komalasari, an experienced lecturer and expert in financial management, shared valuable insights on efficient financial management for batik MSMEs. Participants also learned strategies for determining the right price for their batik products, maintaining competitiveness in the market.
Session 2: Public Speaking for Product Marketing.
Tutus Widagdo guided us in honing our public speaking skills. These skills will help us present and market our products more persuasively and convincingly.
Session 3: Product Photography with a Mobile Phone
Dr. Rahmat Yuliawan, an experienced practitioner and photography expert, provided valuable guidance on how to photograph batik products professionally using a mobile phone. Attractive and high-quality product images are crucial in increasing customer appeal and trust in batik MSMEs.
We hope that this activity will have a positive impact on the development of MSME businesses.
