In an ever-changing and complex environment, students must have both academic and professional abilities that are capable of meeting academic demands while also being relevant to industrial needs. Building personal potential requires critical thinking, long-term creativity, and effective communication. To assist students in addressing these difficulties, the Academic Department of BEM FEB UNAIR has partnered with the Creative Economy Department to deliver the Student Business and Achievement Club (SBAC) Academic and Business Mentoring 2025. This program provides a platform for students who want to increase their grasp of business, generate new ideas, and improve their readiness to compete in academic and industrial settings.

The SBAC program is designed to be the main platform for FEB Universitas Airlangga students to develop their skills and insights in the business world as well as academic competitions. This program combines two complementary features under the theme "Synergy in Action: Integrating Academic and Business Capabilities". The Academic Department specializes in teaching students in business plans, business cases, scientific articles, and academic discussions, as well as research, analysis, and strategic planning skills. Meanwhile, the Creative Economy Department instills strong business mindsets in students by providing insights into business strategies, new business models, financial management, marketing, and branding, ensuring they understand the essence of entrepreneurship. With a complete approach, students learn both academic and business knowledge, as well as intense training in business competition methods, allowing them to compete effectively in a variety of national and international competitions.
Cuankruk, a mentorship session created as an interactive seminar with a relaxed ambiance, is one of SBAC 2025's hallmark activities. It allows FEB students to directly discuss their field with experienced business mentors. The opening session, Cuankruk 1, will be themed "Business Mentality," with the goal of developing a robust business attitude before participants move on to more technical topics. Many students aim to start businesses from a young age, but they frequently have concerns and anxieties when taking their first steps. Thus, this workshop will cover how to cultivate a strong business mindset, tactics for dealing with initial hurdles, and how to exploit opportunities in the entrepreneurial sector.

Furthermore, SBAC Academic and Business Mentoring is a program that connects students with professional mentors for Scientific Writing (SW), Business Cases, Business Plans, and Debates. This program is aimed to teach students how to conduct research, analyze facts accurately, develop persuasive arguments, and give professional presentations.

The program consists of several critical stages, beginning with Open Recruitment, in which interested students are selected to become mentees in this mentoring community. They will next attend a Welcoming Party, which serves as an introduction for mentors and mentees as well as a complete program review. This program's key sessions are Academic Mentoring and Business Mentoring, which are divided into three stages using hybrid methods two initial online sessions and a final in-person session to increase interaction and learning. The program finishes with a Closing Party to show appreciation to those who committed to complete the entire series of activities.

Beyond merely enhancing academic skills, SBAC Academic and Business Mentoring aims to build a learning ecosystem that encourages students to think critically, communicate effectively, and expand their professional networks. This program also plays a vital role in preparing students to participate in various academic competitions at national and international levels, positioning FEB UNAIR as a hub for competitive and high-achieving students.

The entire SBAC Academic and Business Mentoring program series is likewise aligned with sustainable development goals. This curriculum helps to support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by teaching critical thinking skills, strategic communication, and relevant business competences. SDG 4 (Quality Education) is achieved through the provision of high-quality academic and business mentoring, whilst SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) is supported by providing students with practical business skills that can be applied in the workplace. Furthermore, engagement with various stakeholders in academia and industry helps to fulfill SDG 17 (Partnerships for Goals). Thus, SBAC Academic and Business Mentoring not only focuses on individual skill development, but also actively contributes to the creation of a more innovative and inclusive academic environment.
SBAC Academic and Business Mentoring 2025, with its systematic learning methods, support from competent mentors, and extensive networks, is expected to produce students who are excellent, creative, and ready to compete at national and international levels. This program is a tangible step in shaping a generation of professionals who are competitive and capable of contributing to the advancement of Indonesia's academic and economic systems.
