Indonesian Digital Library Conference (KPDI)

Indonesian Digital Library Conference (KPDI)

The Indonesian Digital Library Conference (KPDI) is a synergistic national knowledge-sharing event held on an ongoing basis by the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia in collaboration with regional and university libraries to enhance the knowledge and competency of library managers throughout the country regarding the development of ICT and digital technology in the library world. This meeting is also intended to raise awareness of the importance of adapting to changes in society as a result of the development of information and digital technology, so that libraries can continue to exist over time.

The Indonesian Digital Library Conference (KPDI) in Surakarta was postponed for two years due to the continued high rate of Covid-19 transmission. Therefore, in 2020 and 2021, the KPDI was held online and independently by the National Library of Indonesia. With the Covid-19 pandemic gradually easing in Indonesia this year, it is hoped that the 13th Indonesian Digital Library Conference (KPDI) in 2022 in Surakarta can be held offline (onsite), so that the interaction and knowledge transfer process between speakers and participants can be maximized, and also have an impact on increasing tourism visits to the host area.
