FEB UNAIR FACILITATES UINSA BENCHMARKING VISIT TO DISCUSS DOUBLE DEGREE

(FEB NEWS) The Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR) received a benchmarking visit from the International Service Center of Sunan Ampel State Islamic University Surabaya (UINSA) on Friday, January 30, 2026, at the Tirtodiningrat Hall, 2nd Floor of FEB UNAIR.

This visit aims to conduct comparative studies and discussions related to the implementation of the Double Degree Program, especially in the development of international programs that have been run by Universitas Airlangga.

The ongoing activity became a space for academic dialogue between FEB UNAIR and the UINSA delegation in order to improve the quality of higher education and strengthen institutional networks.

The discussion was lively and constructive, with active participation from the leadership and program managers within FEB UNAIR. The event was facilitated directly by FEB UNAIR leadership as a demonstration of the faculty's commitment to providing open, collaborative, and best-practice-based academic services.

The UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya delegation was led by Fitriah, PhD as the Coordinator of the Program Development Sector of the UINSA International Service Center, along with the team.

From FEB UNAIR, this activity was attended by faculty leaders and program managers: Vice Dean III FEB UNAIR – Novrys Suhardianto, SE., MSA., Ak., Ph.D., Staff of Vice Dean I FEB UNAIR – Ida Wijayanti, S.EI., MSEI.; Head of the Department of Economics – Prof. Rossanto Dwi Handoyo, SE., M.Si., Ph.D., Coordinator of the Master of Management Study Program – Dr. Masmira Kurniawati, SE,M.Si., and Coordinator of the Information and Public Relations Unit FEB UNAIR – Dr. Fatin Fadhilah Hasib, SE, M.Si..

During the discussion, FEB UNAIR presented institutional experience related to the governance of the Double Degree Program, from curriculum aspects and international collaborations to recruitment mechanisms, funding, and more. This presentation serves as an important reference for UINSA in designing and developing similar programs within its institution.

FEB UNAIR also provided an open dialogue space for UINSA delegates to explore the challenges and opportunities in implementing international programs, while also sharing good practices that FEB UNAIR has implemented through various global collaborations.

This benchmarking activity contributes to improving Quality Education, through strengthening higher education governance and improving the quality of internationally standardized academic programs.

In addition, strengthening and encouraging synergy between universities in the development of sustainable education.

By accepting this benchmarking visit, FEB UNAIR affirms its role as a faculty that is open to collaboration and knowledge sharing, especially in developing adaptive and globally competitive international programs.

In the future, FEB UNAIR is expected to continue to be a reference for good practices for other higher education institutions, while strengthening the national academic network in supporting the improvement of the quality of higher education in Indonesia.
