Social responsibility is not solely the responsibility of for-profit companies. Universities must also engage in activities that care for the environment and society, giving rise to the concept of Community Service. In general, the CSR concept implemented by universities has received its own term, University Social Responsibility (USR).

MM FEB Unair, as a form of experiential learning, has implemented numerous innovative CSR activities. The MM FEB Unair Student Association was encouraged to hold USR activities that are highly beneficial, innovative, and newsworthy. Several activities have been successfully implemented with subjects such as orphans, pedicab drivers, garbage colassistant professors, abandoned children, and communities with epilepsy.

The Dean of FEB Unair, in relation to this matter during its 56th Anniversary, responded to these various positive activities by giving an award to Dr. Gancar C Premananto, as the lecturer with the Best Community Service, because since 2012 he has carried out innovative sharing activities with ludruk cultural figures, by holding Ludruk for Charity.
