Overview

This course essentially presents Islamic religious material that is more applied in nature, particularly as it relates to professions in the fields of economics and business, thereby equipping students to develop and apply a comprehensive understanding of Islam. There are three competencies to be achieved in this course: first, an understanding of the concepts of knowledge, reason, and revelation as the intellectual identity of Muslims; second, an understanding of the challenges posed by science and the scientific profession in the context of changing times; and third, the ability to identify problems in science and the scientific profession and to apply religious values in daily activities.
