(FEB NEWS), November 2-3, 2021, is a series of Events The 3rd ICIEBP (Webinar, Call for Papers and PhD Colloquium) held for 2 consecutive days through zoom meetings with the theme "The Emergence of Islamic Economics, Finance, and Digitalization in the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4.0) and Post COVID-19 Pandemic Era".
The recent Covid 19 pandemic is a historical episode of crisis that has never been seen before. It resembles the occurrence of the black death or Spanish flu that hit us back then; however, the density, the impacts, the connectedness between past pandemics and covid 19 are significantly different. Citizens of 2020-21 are more connected than in the past, economically, and socially. Considering this context, the Covid 19 pandemic is a crisis that any state has never been prepared for. It is a crisis that has severely impacted our economics, international trade, and most importantly, our society's social behaviour and life. The scope and severity of the impact of this crisis will bring changes to the landscape of finance and banking, including Islamic Economics, Finance and Business.
Looking at these issues, the advancement of digitalization of world’s economics become necessary. Technology is reshaping how we conduct payments and lending. Consequently, business management and model around the world are changing too. What we are expected to concure in the future, has been accelerated because of covid 19 pandemic. Therefore Islamic Economics Study Program of the Department of Islamic Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga (with Committee Chairman Dr. Sri Herianingrum, S.E., M.Si. – Head of the Department of Islamic Economics of FEB UNAIR), held this event in collaboration with the University of Malaya and Universiti Sains Malaysia and also sponsored by the Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation (IDIC) - (SDG's 17 form).
The event was held as a form of concern in increasing the quality of resources to realize a quality teaching and learning process (SDG's 4), in addition to also as a form of a series of adjunct professor and Dies Natalis Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga 60th.
Present at the event, Mr. Iwan, S.Hut., M.M. – Head of the Economic Bureau of the East Java Provincial Government on behalf Governor of East Java, to give the Opening Speech, as well as Prof. Dr. Mansor H. Ibrahim (International Center for Education in Islamic Finance) and Associate Prof. Dr. Asmak bint Ab Rahman (Universiti Malaya) as Keynote Speech at webinar day 1.
The event, which was attended by about 350 participants, was opened online by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga – Prof. Dr. Dian Agustia, S.E., M.Si., Ak. and presented several speakers in the webinar day 2: 1.) Prof. Dr. Zakaria Bahari (Universiti Sains Malaysia), 2.) Prof. Dr. Irwandi Jaswir (International Islamic University Malaysia), 3.) Prof. Dr. Raditya Sukmana, SE., MA. (UNAIR), 4.) Dr. Nisful Laila, SE., M.Com. (UNAIR), 5.) Ronald Rulindo, PhD - Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation (IDIC)

(FEB NEWS), 2-3 November 2021, merupakan serangkaian acara The 3rd ICIEBP (Webinar, Call for Papers and PhD Colloquium) yang diselenggarakan selama 2 hari berturut-turut melalui zoom meeting dengan tema “The Emergence of Islamic Economics, Finance, and Digitalization in the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4.0) and Post COVID-19 Pandemic Era”.
Pandemi Covid 19 adalah krisis yang belum pernah terjadi sebelumnya. Peristiwa ini mirip dengan terjadinya black death atau flu Spanyol yang melanda dunia pada saat itu; Namun, dampak dan keterhubungan antara pandemi masa lalu dan covid 19 sangat berbeda. Penduduk di tahun 2020-2021 lebih terhubung, secara ekonomi, sosial daripada yang terjadi di masa lalu. Mempertimbangkan konteks ini, pandemi Covid 19 adalah krisis yang tidak pernah diperkirakan oleh negara mana pun. Ini adalah krisis yang sangat berdampak pada ekonomi, perdagangan internasional, dan yang paling penting, perilaku dan kehidupan sosial masyarakat. Cakupan dan keparahan akan dampak dari krisis ini akan membawa perubahan pada arsitektur keuangan dan perbankan, termasuk Ekonomi, Keuangan, dan Bisnis Islam. Melihat permasalahan tersebut, kemajuan digitalisasi ekonomi dunia menjadi sangat diperlukan.
Teknologi membentuk kembali cara melakukan pembayaran dan peminjaman. Akibatnya, manajemen dan model bisnis di seluruh dunia juga berubah. Apa yang kita harapkan ke depan, dipercepat karena pandemi covid 19. Dari fenomena tersebut Program Studi Ekonomi Islam Departemen Ekonomi Syariah Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Airlangga (dengan Ketua Panitia Dr. Sri Herianingrum, S.E., M.Si. – Ketua Departemen Ekonomi Syariah FEB UNAIR), menyelenggarakan acara ini bekerjasama dengan University Of Malaya dan Universiti Sains Malaysia dan disponsori oleh Lembaga Penjamin Simpanan (LPS) – (Wujud SDG’s 17).
Acara diselenggarakan sebagai wujud kepedulian dalam meningkatkan kualitas sumberdaya guna mewujudkan proses belajar mengajar yang berkualitas (SDG’s 4), selain itu juga sebagai bentuk rangkaian kegiatan adjunct profesor dan Dies Natalis Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Airlangga yang ke-60.
