(FEB NEWS) The prestigious and equally interesting event in this year's Management Expo series, namely the Management Olympiad (MO), has been successfully held by the Universitas AirlanggaUndergraduate Management Student Association. MO is a promising national competition circuit, opening opportunities for high school/vocational school students across the country to build a scientific foundation and streamline their abilities in dealing with various challenges in the world of management, (SDG #5 – Gender Equality).
In the implementation of MO 2023, the theme carried is "Empowering the Future: Youth Potential for Driving Business Sustainability." The concept, clearly, is to inspire the younger generation of Indonesia to think sharply, create stunning innovations, generate creative ideas, and hone their skills in addressing emerging issues in the realm of management, SDG #4 (Quality Education) & (SDG #17 - Partnerships for the Goals).
This month-long event, from October 1st to November 5th, 2023, features a series of thrilling stages, from the initial selection stage to the information architecture stage, the intense semifinals, and finally the culminating competition in the final.
There are 8 teams that successfully qualified for the semifinal round, namely 2 teams from SMA Pradita Dirgantara, Thursina IIBS Malang, SMAN 20 Bandung, SMAN 1 Sidoarjo, MA Unggulan Amanatul Umma, SMAN 1 Sooko, and SMAN 1 Gresik. After various tight matches, finally, the champions of MO 2023 emerged. In the Final Stage, Team Argananta from SMAN 1 Gresik won the title of 1st Place with its brilliant achievements, followed by Strigiformes from Thursina IIBS Malang who performed stunningly as 2nd Place. Meanwhile, the third position was won by the SOS Team from SMAN 1 Sidoarjo who was no less shining. SMAN 20 Bandung also received an award as Runner Up, showing a fighting spirit that deserves a thumbs up.
