ABSTRACT
PT Berlian Jasa Terminal Indonesia (BJTIPORT) is a port services company engaged in loading and unloading services that manage the Diamond Terminal and located in the area of Tanjung Perak Surabaya. The emergence of similar terminals makes PT BJTI should further enhance its competitive advantage. With diamond strategy from Hambrick & Frederickson and strategy analysis from Porter expected to know the factors that influence competitive advantage.
The study used internal and external analysis to identify factors that have the greatest potential to affect the achievement of corporate objectives. Research digs information directly from resource persons using interview method (indepth interview). This research then tries to find the strategic position of the company according to external internal concept (IE) matrix and give recommendation of strategy formulation with diamond concept. The results show that PT BJTI's strategic position is Grow & Build. Strategy that can be developed by the company is agresive strategy,
