The month of Ramadan is a month full of grace, forgiveness, and glory. Praise be to God, in this Ramadan, AcSES can share happiness with orphanage children. In accordance with QS. Al-Ma'un which means "Do you know that those who deny the religion are those who rebuke the orphan and do not feed the poor, so woe to the righteous, those who are negligent of their prayers, those who show off and are reluctant to help with useful items". Therefore, AcSES tries to practice these verses through the AcSES Social Responsibility (ASR) activity on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the Hidayah Umat orphanage, Jl. Ketabatang Megersari II no. 6 at 13.00 WIB to 19.00. Through AcSES Social Responsibility (ASR), it is hoped that it can provide facilities for members of AcSES FEB UNAIR 2017 and 2018 to foster a spirit of caring for others through visits to social institutions or foundations, such as orphanages or foundations for people with disabilities, and so on by providing social attention.
The series of events began with a joint recitation of the Quran by all the attending accessors from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM. This was followed by the arrival of children from the Hidayah Umat orphanage at the event venue. Next, there was a presentation of material from the committee via video. After the presentation, it was followed by a question and answer session regarding the material presented previously. Then, there were also games as a break while waiting for the time to break the fast. The children at the orphanage were very enthusiastic during this event. Then, there were prizes given to all the children who had been enthusiastic throughout the event. When the Maghrib call to prayer sounded, all the children and the committee broke the fast together, which was then followed by congregational Maghrib prayer.
The AcSES Social Responsibility (ASR) event concluded with a prayer and the distribution of gifts to the orphanage children. This activity is expected to serve as a platform for sharing. The AcSES management aims to achieve another purpose: to remind them to always be grateful for the blessings God has bestowed upon them.
"In addition, by seeing the joy of the children at the Hidayah Umat Orphanage, we hope that the AcSES management will remain enthusiastic in their struggle to preach Islamic economics despite the many challenges and obstacles," concluded AcSES director Hasbi Ash Shidiq.
