Overview
This course discusses the importance of performance measurement in supporting the implementation of organizational strategies. At the beginning of the course, students will be given insight into the history of the emergence of the concept of performance measurement and the importance of performance measurement in business. Next, they will be given insight into how to design a performance measurement system step by step until its implementation. The stages of the performance development process include measurement tools, such as the balanced scorecard, which is the main tool in performance measurement. It discusses the process of developing strategy implementation and measuring indicators of its success through several perspectives, namely the financial perspective, the customer perspective, the internal business process perspective, and the learning and growth perspective. This is followed by an introduction to several performance measurement tools for the organization's operational functions. Furthermore, students are equipped with the preparation of strategy implementation and evaluation plans and the application of performance measurement in real-life cases.
