Overview

Agribusiness economics is concerned with understanding how institutions, organizations, and markets influence vertical and horizontal coordination within the food system. Topics discussed in this course include: the critical role of agribusiness in the economy, the economics of agricultural production and agribusiness, marketing and supply chains of agribusiness products, the structure of the agribusiness industry, logistics, agribusiness financing, risk management, agribusiness development strategies, international agribusiness, and agribusiness issues and policies.
