Overview
This course studies the basic understanding of microeconomic principles that form the foundation for economic analysis at the individual, household, and company levels. The material covers concepts such as market mechanisms, consumer and producer behavior, elasticity, and efficiency. In addition to Micro, this course is a basic course that introduces beginning students to an understanding of Macroeconomic Theory. The main concepts and topics that will be discussed extensively include national income, the determination of national income in both closed and open economies and the concept of multipliers, basic concepts of aggregate demand and supply, unemployment and inflation, theories of economic growth. The learning process uses a blended learning model with a flipped classroom approach, where students learn synchronously through face-to-face case discussions, both online, hybrid, and offline, and asynchronously through e-learning. The problem-based learning method is applied to equip students in evaluating everyday economic phenomena.
