Overview

This course examines environmental economics from an Islamic perspective, including Islamic principles of sustainability, the relationship between humans and nature in Islam, and Islamic economic approaches to environmental challenges such as pollution, resource exploitation, and climate change. Students also study maqasid al-Shariah in environmental protection; Islamic economic instruments for environmental management, such as green waqf and environmental zakat; and Islamic economic policies for sustainable development.
