Overview

This course trains students' reasoning skills in understanding the latest developments in various fields of financial management, including corporate finance, investment, and financial intermediaries. This is done through critical reviews of cutting-edge research results from journals and articles in the financial field. Students are required to critically review various articles and journals and discuss them in class. Mid-semester, students are required to write a paper on a topic of their choice. In this paper, students are expected to review various literature and journals on the chosen topic and organize it into a theoretical framework that needs to be tested. The results of this paper are then presented to the class after the mid-term exam.
