Overview

In general, this course focuses on and positions HR as an investment in an organization that must be developed through policies and programs to increase company and market value. Specifically, this course will discuss HR as an investment, the relationship between strategic HRM and business strategy, and how it influences HR planning and the design and redesign of work systems. It also discusses the implementation of Strategic HRM through HRM activities including staffing, training and development, performance management, compensation, labor relations, employee separation and retention management, and global HRM.
