Multivariate Statistics

This course is a foundational course for conducting scientific research using both quantitative and qualitative research methods. The topics covered cover two main areas: quantitative methods and qualitative methods. The first section, focused on quantitative methods, is supported by several subsections, including a basic understanding of research methods, understanding research questions and method selection, hypothesis formation, variable identification and operational definitions, research design and procedures, data collection, and quantitative data analysis. The second section, focused on qualitative methods, covers the appropriateness of research questions and qualitative method selection, identifying related aspects, developing interview guidelines and interviewing frameworks, qualitative alternatives (case studies, PEI, organizational ethnography), and qualitative data analysis (grounded analysis, thematic analysis). In addition to the aforementioned topics, this course will also help students gain insight into the steps needed to prepare a good thesis.
