Overview

This course provides accounting knowledge and skills for the preparation and analysis of financial statements related to leases, revenue, post-employment benefits, accounting changes and errors, cash flow statements, and their presentation and disclosure in financial statements to assist entities in making business decisions. It is assumed that students already possess a basic understanding of financial statements, as this course will relate these fundamental transactions to applicable accounting standards for the preparation of financial statements intended for the general public. The latest developments in financial accounting standards are therefore an integral part of this course. To familiarize students with these developments and the financial accounting standards in effect in Indonesia, several alternative accounting treatments used in other countries are also discussed.
