Overview

Developments in global trade, such as the emergence of intra-industry trade, regionalism, economies of scale issues in trade, and imperfect competition, demonstrate how trade theory has evolved. International economics is a course that explores the expansion of international trade theory and trade policy theory beyond the standard models discussed in international economics. Elements such as economies of scale, imperfect competition, and external economies of scale will be discussed as sources of international trade.
