Overview
This course presents the theoretical framework of accounting and the fundamentals of current accounting practices, as well as alternative practices. The course will cover the history of the development of accounting standards and institutions in both Indonesia and the United States, which remains the global leader in accounting to this day. In addition, students will be encouraged to critically examine the assumptions and concepts underlying current accounting practices. The conceptual framework for the presentation and reporting of financial information will be discussed in depth. The concepts of measurement and disclosure of financial statement elements, as well as alternative accounting models, will also be explored.
