ALFA (AQUALINE FESTIVAL) UNIVERSITY OF MATARAM 2019

Aqualine Festival (ALFA) is a series of activities to celebrate the 13th Anniversary of the Fisheries Student Association (HIMAPIKA) Universitas Mataram. One of the series of events from ALFA is the National Essay Competition for all students throughout Indonesia. In 2019, this is the second year for HIMAPIKA UNRAM in organizing the ALFA event and national level Essay Contest. The ALFA Essay Contest aims to be a forum for Indonesian students to be able to convey innovative and creative ideas or ideas that are outlined in a work and are useful in order to improve the welfare of the Indonesian people in the field of fisheries and marine affairs and increase the nation's ability to face global competition through the potential of existing local water resources. .

Registration for the ALFA essay competition by submitting essays from each participant. Participants who qualify for the top 15 will be invited to carry out the presentation stage which will be held on October 25-27 2019 at the University of Mataram Lombok. The top 15 finalists were from Riau University, Airlangga University, Gajah Mada University, Haluoleo University, Brawijaya University, Mataram University, Padjajaran University, Ganesha Education University, Sebelas Maret University, Padang State University, Bogor Agricultural University, Surabaya State University, University Hasanuddin.

The agenda for the presentation of the top 15 finalists on October 26, 2019. Each finalist is given 10 minutes of presentation and 10 minutes of questions and answers from the jury. After the presentation, the next agenda in the evening was the awarding of the winners of the 2019 ALFA essay competition. The 1st place was won by Brawijaya University, the 2nd place was won by the University of Mataram, the 3rd place was won by the Sebelas Maret University, the 1st place winner was won by the Universitas Airlangga Team with the name members of Widyastuti Nur Al Amin (Development Economics 2018) and Reza Silvia (D3 Secretariat and Office Management 2017), the 2nd place winner was won by Haluoleo University. The 2019 ALFA agenda ended on October 27, 2019 with a field trip that was attended by all the top 15 finalists at Gili Trawangan Beach, Lombok.
