Spiritual Management Study With Da'I Pedicab Driver
An interesting sight can be seen in the parking lot in front of the MM FEB Unair building, Thursday 15 September 2016. What usually looks like a luxury car park, there are actually several parked tricycles. MM FEB Universitas Airlangga once again held an innovative event. As a form of commemoration of the 23rd MM FEB Unair Birthday and the commemoration of Eid al-Adha, Named "Dhahar Sate with Abang Becak" MM FEB Unair hosted dozens of rickshaw drivers for lunch together. In addition to eating together, the activity continued with congregational prayers, reading of the holy Qur'an by one of the pedicab drivers and what was interesting was studying the concept of sustenance from the pedicab driver's point of view.
As speakers, pedicab drivers convey the meaning of sustenance. In the midst of the conditions of the times that make their position marginalized. The presence of transportation service applications via the internet, making rickshaw transportation services is not the main choice for consumers. The uncertainty of consumers who ride trishaws every day, as well as the number of consumers who do not have the heart not to cheat on free tricycles, makes interpreting the concept of sustenance an interesting thing to understand.
There are many things that can be extracted from the pedicab drivers, including; is that sustenance is not only a matter of wealth, pious children, given health and life are also part of the sustenance for which they are grateful. They also believe that sustenance is full of miracles, just like the miracle of sustenance from the feet of Prophet Ismail (as), even though the tireless effort to seek sustenance was carried out by Hajar's mother.
Another thing that arises is related to spiritual management, namely making work activities as a form of worship. Starting from the simple thing that is ablution before starting work.
The various things above made lunch with the Pedicab Driver meaningful for all participants. And also gives the effect of learning spiritual management and informal economy for MM FEB Unair.
