Prof. Narayan Sethi

Prof. Narayan Sethi is a Professor of Economics in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela, India. He earned his Ph.D., M.Phil., and M.A. in Economics from the University of Hyderabad and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at AMDISA. His areas of expertise include macroeconomics and open economies, development economics, monetary economics, international trade and finance, and energy and the environment. With over 16 years of academic experience, he has published numerous articles in reputable international journals, led numerous research projects, and been recognized as one of Stanford World's Top 2% Scientists 2025 and among the top 10 Indian economists by Research.com.
