Overview
Prof. Hironori Fukukawa is a Professor of Accounting at Hitotsubashi University, Japan, with bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in accounting from the same university. He was also a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at the University of Southern California (2003?2004) and Vice Dean of the Graduate School of Commerce and Management at Hitotsubashi University (2014?2016). His research interests include risk assessment and audit planning, the influence of professional skepticism on auditor judgment, and audit markets and fee determination. His work has been published in various leading international academic journals. Hironori Fukukawa became a member of the International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants in January 2017 upon nomination by the Japanese Institute of Certified Public Accountants (JICPA).
