Abstract

This research aims to investigate the influence of career competencies on perceived employability, work engagement and job satisfaction, as well as the role of perceived employability and work engagement as mediators in the influence of career competencies on job satisfaction. This research was conducted at Husada Utama Hospital in Surabaya on 160 nurses with permanent status. A quantitative approach was used in this research, with surveys as a method for collecting questionnaire data. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) – AMOS is used as an analysis technique, to test research hypotheses. The research results show that career competencies have a direct influence on job satisfaction, and there is a mediating role of the variables perceived employability and work engagement in this influence. Based on the results of this research, this research further offers theoretical and practical implications.
