Abstract
If a company wants to be successful in competition in its business environment, the company must be flexible, adaptive, and able to carry out continuous transformation. In reality, the changes made by the company cannot be separated from the risks that may arise. The risk of failure of change initiatives carried out by companies can mainly come from resistance to change by employees, this means that companies must find ways to manage this resistance, for example by providing job autonomy and employee self-efficacy. The aim of this research is to see the influence of job autonomy, self-efficacy on job performance with resistance to change as an intervening variable. The variables in this study were measured by a survey of 80 respondents at PT. United Waru Biscuit Manufactory (PT.UWBM) with Partial Least Square (PLS) statistical tools. The research results show that job autonomy and self efficacy have a significant negative relationship with resistance to change, and resistance to change has a significant negative relationship with job performance. Apart from that, from testing the direct influence of job autonomy on job performance, no significant results were obtained, in contrast to self-efficacy which had a significant influence on job performance. In addition, the test results show that resistance to change fully mediates the relationship between job autonomy and job performance and partially mediates the relationship between self-efficacy and job performance. Based on these results, it is hoped that they can become input for company management to manage change initiatives in order to achieve the expected results.
