Abstract
The availability of sufficient food regionally does not necessarily guarantee food security in households. This research aims to test and analyze the influence of demographic, economic and social characteristics as well as government policies on household food security in NTB Province. The method used is multinomial logistic regression with data sourced from the National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) March 2018, Central Bureau of Statistics. The research results show that maternal age, household size, household expenditure, maternal education level, access to information, Rastra, and PKH simultaneously have a significant influence on the household food security model in NTB Province. Household size was found to have a negative relationship with food security, in contrast to household expenditure which had the largest marginal effect on increasing household food security. Judging from government policy, the Rastra and PKH programs were found to be less effective in increasing household food security.
