The National Business Case Competition (NBCC) is a business case-solving competition for students from across Indonesia. The competition aims to provide a platform for students to share new ideas and concepts for solving business cases from a student perspective. NBCC is also part of four sub-events at the 2021 Management Expo.
NBCC 2021 carries the theme "Optimizing the Role of Digital Transformation for Businesses in a Disruptive Era." The widespread use of digital platforms has created momentum to accelerate digital transformation during the COVID-19 pandemic. This has encouraged businesses to optimize the role of digital transformation in their operations. To achieve this, businesses are required to utilize the technology that best suits their needs so that every series of business processes can run according to predetermined goals. By carrying this theme, we hope that this event will foster student innovation and creativity in solving business problems in the era of digital transformation.
Registration for NBCC 2021 is open from July 18 to September 16, 2021. Registration is free. NBCC consists of three stages: the preliminary stage, the semifinal stage, and the final stage. At each stage, participants will be given a business case and will create a solution based on the given case. Registered participants will take part in the preliminary stage and create a case solution in the form of an essay. Then, participants who pass will move on to the semifinal stage and create a case solution in the form of paper and video. In the semifinal stage, participants will be charged a fee of IDR 125,000.00. The 6 best teams from the semifinal stage will advance to the final stage. In the final stage, each participant is asked to present answers and recommendations based on the case that was given in the semifinal stage. Participants will also attend a guest lecture attended by a resource person from a company. After attending the guest lecture, participants will receive an additional mini case with a duration determined by the committee. From the 6 teams, there will be 1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place, 1st Runner-Up, 2nd Runner-Up, and 3rd Runner-Up.
