RECHARGING 2 (2026)

Recharging 2 is a work program of the Human Resource Development Division of E Radio FEB UNAIR with the theme Broadcasting in the Digital Era. This activity is in the form of a webinar that will be held on August 22, 2026, at the Miendrowo Hall FEB UNAIR. The aim of this activity is to equip members with public speaking and announcing competencies that are adaptive to the development of digital media. In the era of fast-paced audio-visual content, the ability to speak in front of a microphone and camera is a key skill for a broadcaster to be able to convey messages communicatively, confidently, and relevantly.

This webinar will feature speakers from the broadcasting and public speaking fields to deliver topics ranging from vocal techniques, breathing exercises, broadcast script writing, to announcer ethics on digital platforms such as podcasts, radio streaming, and live broadcasts. Participants will also be invited to practice directly and receive feedback from the presenters. Through this activity, E Radio FEB UNAIR hopes to produce talented young broadcasters who are not only fluent speakers but also able to build a strong personal brand in the digital era.

Recharging 2 activity is directly related to the achievement of SDGs 4, namely Quality Education. Through this webinar, E Radio FEB UNAIR strives to expand access to quality and inclusive skills education, particularly in the fields of communication and media literacy. Public speaking and announcing are 21st-century competencies not always learned in college, making this program a non-formal learning platform relevant to the needs of the broadcasting industry.

By improving the quality of human resources in the broadcasting sector, this activity supports the target of participants acquiring the skills needed for decent work in the future. Furthermore, Recharging 2 is also aligned with SDGs 8, namely Decent Work and Economic Growth. The creative industry and digital economy are growing rapidly and require a competent workforce in the broadcasting sector. By equipping participants with announcing skills for digital platforms such as podcasts and live streaming, this activity increases participants' job readiness, opens wider career opportunities, encourages innovation, and supports sustainable and inclusive economic growth through the creation of new jobs in the digital media sector.
