Third Place in the 2019 Telkom Accounting Competition

Telkom University, especially the Bachelor of Accounting study program under the auspices of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), is a formal educational institution responsible for the development of economic science and phenomena in Indonesia and the world.

Accounting is a science that is widely used in various fields and settings. The accounting profession aims to facilitate a company or organization in recording, auditing, and conducting all matters related to its transactions.

However, with the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and the increasingly advanced technology to facilitate recording and reporting in accounting activities, companies are starting to switch to using machines and information systems, in order to reduce costs. With many companies switching to using technology and information systems, the role of accountants is decreasing and the existence of accountants is threatened.

The form of participation of the Accounting Student Association (HIMAKU) of Telkom University in preparing accounting students to have a competitive spirit in the field of accounting is reflected in the work program of the scientific division, so we held the TAF (Telkom Accounting Fair) activity.

The delegation from Universitas Airlangga with the name of the UNAIR TANGGUH team consisting of three accounting students, namely Lintang Sasi Panggayuh, Ida Bagus Gde Adhista Agastya, and Yusuf Daniswara, succeeded in winning third place in the 2019 Telkom Accounting Competition (a sub-competition of the Telkom Accounting Fair).
